چکیده

High harmonic generation in the interaction of femtosecond lasers with atoms and molecules opens the path to molecular orbital tomography and to probe the electronic dynamics with attosecondÅngström resolutions. Molecular orbital tomography requires both the amplitude and phase of the high harmonics. Yet the measurement of phases requires sophisticated techniques and represents formidable challenges at present. Here we report a novel scheme, called diffractive molecular orbital tomography, to retrieve the molecular orbital solely from the amplitude of high harmonics without measuring any phase information. We have applied this method to image the molecular orbitals of N2, CO2 and C2H2. The retrieved orbital is further improved by taking account the correction of Coulomb potential. The diffractive molecular orbital tomography scheme, removing the roadblock of phase measurement, significantly simplifies the molecular orbital tomography procedure and paves an efficient and robust way to the imaging of more complex molecules.

Feasibility Study and Modeling of Components for an Informational Space System Based on a Large Diffractive Membrane

The paper presents a feasibility study for an optical system, based on a diffractive membrane. The authors have analyzed structural design of diffractive optical elements for space application and developed finite element models of diffractive lens’s carrier and mount. The models were developed for two different schemes: MOIRE project and for the original scheme, developed by the authors. The s...

Molecular orbital tomography from multi-channel harmonic emission in N2

High-order harmonic generation in aligned molecules can be used as an ultrafast probe of molecular structure and dynamics. By characterizing the emitted signal, one can retrieve information about electronic and nuclear dynamics occurring in the molecule at the attosecond timescale. In this paper, we discuss the theoretical and experimental aspects of molecular orbital tomography in N2 and inves...

Corrections to the generalized vector dominance due to diffractive ρ 3 production

The idea of the vector dominance is still in use in various analyses of experimental data of photon-hadron reactions. It makes sense, therefore, to recast results of microscopic calculations of such reactions in this language. Here we present the diffractive DIS ρ3 production as a specific correction to the generalized vector dominance. We perform a coupled channel analysis of spin-orbital exci...

Production of orbitally excited vector mesons in diffractive DIS

Within the kt-factorization framework, we study diffractive production of orbitally excited vector mesons and compare it with the production of radial excitations, focusing on the ρ(1450)/ρ(1700) case. At small Q2, orbital excitation of light quarkonia is found to dominate over radial excitations in diffractive production. We predict strong suppression of the production of orbital excitations b...

Single Orbital Metastasis in Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer

Introduction: Orbital metastasis of prostate cancer (PC) is very rare and even more unique in castration-resistant PC (CRPC). In this scenario, choline positron emission tomography/computed tomography (choline PET/CT) is the gold-standard restaging method of choice available in our setting, and new anti-androgens treatments show improvement in overall survival. Case presentation: We report the...
